Meet the Producer: Paula Curiacos Urtado
Meet the Producer: Paula Curiacos Urtado
Founded in 2016 by Paula and Marcelo Urtado, Fazenda Três Meninas is a family‑run speciality coffee farm in Brazil’s Cerrado Mineiro region, named in honour of the three women at its heart. Though small in scale, the farm is globally recognised for its pioneering regenerative approach. Through agroforestry, biodiversity corridors, and soil‑restoring practices, Três Meninas has reported capturing more carbon than it emits, while producing exceptional coffees which we are proud to share. Today, the farm is a learning hub for producers and institutions from around the world, and continues to gain international recognition for both coffee quality and trailblazing sustainability initiatives.
Shipped by Sail Project
Shipped by Sail Project
Launched in 2024, Sail Ship began as a single coffee in our range. Today, as we increase the volume of coffee transported by wind-powered vessels, we’re introducing additional coffees under the Shipped by Sail Project initiative. This involves shipping coffee from Brazil and Colombia by sail across the Atlantic into Europe, instead of the traditional, diesel-powered cargo ship. Every shipment stands for fewer emissions, cleaner oceans, and a commitment to innovation in sustainability. These efforts will continue to grow year on year, taking us closer to our Net Zero 2050 goal and setting a new standard for responsible sourcing.
